What Am I Actually Doing??
Hey all!! Two weeks out from leaving and I am STOKED. I can't believe I will actually be going to Malawi so soon. This week it's become really real to me as I said goodbye to some friends and family that I won't see again until I come back from Malawi. That's CRAZY. This is coming up fast! So, I wanted to explain a little bit about my plan for when I am in Malawi, and why I am going. I will be going as part of an internship for BYU working with NuSkin. They own a Non-Government Organization (NGO) called the School of Agriculture for Family Independence (SAFI). For my internship, I get to do research on whatever I wanted (and then was further approved by NuSkin). I will be doing two different research projects: 1) studying the social atmosphere around family planning (aka birth control), and 2) evaluating and assessing the nursery school (aka preschool) at SAFI and meeting with parents and teachers to see what improvements can be made, because improvements can always...
